Retail was May 12th. HoN 2.0 was december 22nd, and MM was stable about a week after that, so MM came out 7 months late, not 12.
The map editor is usable. There is no SDK that they promised (which is bad). And the map editor is basically useless shit since the maps aren't multi player enabled.

You kind of shit on your own point there. You only listed one melee carry that is used a lot in DotA. Some of S2's heroes get used in the metagame, so your point sucks.
