vindi with a team built around him is fucking awesome

used to run the

vindi
vj/ws/glaci/plague
+ carry trilane

with tundra mid
pharaoh/hag/hb/bubbles top

lost 0 or 1 game out of like 15 with that lineup

basically you intiate and instantly use vindi ulti, boom genocide

yeah, vindi just never seems to go well for me
no one i play with really uses him as a 'main' hero (people i normally play with all have select heroes we're best with) and facing vindi is such a bitch because of sage's lore or w/e it's called (curse of the silent) and his ult, and his silence aura
makes playing so many heroes soooo difficult when you're against him

but i like the hero himself, i think he's a really strong hero, just nobody ever wants to play him for whatever reason
him and dev are always on my bans, i usually rather give an enemy team a hero like repulsor than let them have dev or vindi since i find doc so easy to deal with mid in comparison to dev and without vindi there to put my team in the trash can

i always thought about shit like your strat and know it's good in theory
all you need is good initiation and then you have 6 seconds to completely fuck the enemy team's asshole
haven't seen it effectively used for the most part

exactly and to build him like

2 sages lore maxout aura > stats
and get like a hotbl steamboots void/shaman ( depending on lineup )
will add some insane presence in teamfights

never considered tanking him out like that
it's what i usually do when i play slither, hotbl + shaman so you're too tough to bother with and can have 100% upkeep on toxicity
never thought about it for vindi, same concept except with the annoying ass silence aura
kids i play with ALWAYS will go for high tier items (steamboots, alch bones sometimes, hellflower, sheep, frostfield, etc, etc) and get totally buttfucked since vindi is no where close to being a good farmer compared to other ints
initiate on vindi who has steamboots and a hellflower = raped in 3 nukes
unless the vindi stomps mid/sidelane/gets farmed for w/e reason, which is usually in a smurf game anyways and the player on vindi could have done empath with the same outcome

might start experimenting on my lowest of smurfs and see how high i can get comfortable with vindi

my fav heroes atm are pushers like defiler, slither, polly, tort, etc. ever since the competitive scene shifted out of the push-start meta game, pubs have follow'd by not doing it anymore either, but i think its still such an easy strat to pull off in pubs. maybe not in the 1800/semi-pro level, but it seems to work good in 1700s assuming you have a team that can group up when ults come off c/d

my official favorite is Balf, been playing him all morning. Not that I'm facing the most challenging opponents with him or anything, but having a blast.
Just went 15 minute heart + a buncha other shit.

tundra, his pets are so awesome, moving 'double' ward, in built harasser+slower.. nuke is fun (long range, clear cutting ability), devastating and useful, and such a great ultimate... early-mid gank is enjoyable with him. ^^
