durr, ivey, negreanu are pretty much fish now in the high stakes games. the top internet players just completely crush them. not sure if you saw but Jungleman (probably one of the best online players today) beat durrr in the durrr challenge pretty hard, and durrr just refused to play him anymore.
the game evolves pretty fast, in 2 years there'll probably be new top players
its not just about how much money u make, sure if u keep milking it and r a steady winner then u r gg player
most these players dont play as much these days and i wouldnt blame them if i made some nice cash i'd worry about spending it and enjoying life and free time
i remember in a hsp episode brad booth said he pld 10 or more hours every day for god knows how long (was many months) and others do same they just play play play
its just like anything else how much is enough? depends on person ofc but in theory if u can make a nice living out of ur money and not have to do shit for whole life i'd say u were set
and again andy beal comes to mind, any billionaire can challenge any pro and play him cuz for them its like me and u playing for like 100$, its just peanuts for them but would all seasoned pros play him for a ridiculos amount?
andy's idea was to challenge them for stakes so high that it would take them out of their comfort zone and even tho pros do play each other most would rather not and just milk lowbies (heh kinda like u making alt accounts in hon and dota and raping newbs cuz why not, its a lot easier than playing against matched people)
