S2's motives seem pretty clear to me. They obviously want to keep the game alive as long as possible so they get income from microtranscations. They, however, do not want to invest into making the game actually good or fixing balance. So, they just release a bunch of small, dumb changes and new alt avatars every few weeks to keep people happy. People always want change and love to see new patches, so S2 will keep releasing them. They won't really put in any effort such as hiring more people or spending alot of money on advertising. I mean, look at how they test balance in this game. They "hire" a bunch of power hungry 15 year olds who want to be "super beta testers" and pay them with gold coins. The input these kids give them pretty much influences the game, and that's why the game has gone to such shit.

i didnt really share same views with u on hon smack but recently it all seems to be going down the drain
u won't believe how much spam and system messages they send now on avatars or on some shitty offer to buy coins or check out this week's 50% off for xyz avatars and so on

somebody even had the stupidity to say on their forums hey look the press accept works in dota2 let it sink here and ppl get used to it
however dota is alot smarter and i dont really mind it there cuz if u press and people dont u r automatically queued back again and whoever didnt click gets a 45 sec ban from queuing afaik
also when a game is failed due to a player not clicking u get placed into higher priority to find a game

but noo in hon its like this, click to play, click to invite friends, click queue after all are ready and then AGAIN click to accept after game is found, like really?
not to mention if this fails, u click accept somebody doesnt, u have to click the popup then that says somebody didnt click and then u gotta requeue again?
it gets better, if somebody fails to load u gotta go through the process of everything from scratch, remake group and etc

also if i play solo i'd like to just start hon and press 1 single thing to get started and queue (they dont have such a thing yet)

one guy also said its better for team buildup, the general hon player has the mentality to play his own game rather than focus on team needs (at least most do in pub games)
u will likely have 2 ppl fighting over mid, one going woods one claiming solo or just generally retarded lineups say 4 ppl instapick some sort of mid or carry and they tell the last guy hey pick support and ward etc...

hmm ok they seem not to be 100% retarded now after like 3 updates today
they made the game flash on the taskbar when it finds a game, so even without sound and tabbed out like i am it's still easier to press accept (even tho i am still against it)
and they also increased the timer to 25 seconds

Funny how S2 tries to rip off Dota/Icefrog again and fails. They tried to copy the idea but implemented so shittily everyone hated it. Funny how they have to do an "emergency" patch just to fix it so it's useable. Wonder why they didn't realize it was shit during the testing before they released it? Oh yeah, probably because all of their testing is done by 15 year old kids or 20+ year old manchildren that have no aspirations IRL and just want free gold coins to buy more HoN alt avatars. I mean, I'm all for saving money but come on S2, it's becoming painfully obvious you don't want to invest a penny into your game, you just want the customers to give give give without giving anything of value in return.

i just did. after some games its going quite well. i carry/ semicarry most of the games currently.
but yeah. i really have to get used to it a little more

my question is who the hell is going to buy strife after all of s2's fuckups?
is there a silent majority that gobbles this shit up?
