a runed axe is gfg early for almost any non ranged carry because of how quickly you can farm.Is it going to make a huge difference in team fights? No,
your quoted here saying that runed axe does not make a difference in team fights, i am saying that you are 100% off and the reason melee carrys are better than range carrys is because of cleave
Ok this post is too old and I'm too lazy to go back and try and nerdbold whatever you've said. Plain and simple, a runed axe on a carry is not built for team fights or ganks, its built for farming. +65 damage +health/mana regen with cleave = to Farm. Will cleave help in team fights? Maybe. It depends how stupid people are. If tempest ults 5 people will cleave make a big difference? Sure. But that's not why people get a runed axe, if you disagree you're not only a fucking retard, you're wrong.
Melee carries are better than ranged carries in certain ways. They are what's called a "hard" carry. Ranged carries are "semi" carries with a few exceptions. Melee carries are not stronger because they can cleave with a fucking runed axe you dumbfuck, they're stronger because their abilities are built to grow stronger as the game progresses.
For example lets compare Forsaken Archer and Madman, since you're so knowledgeable about this game I'm sure you don't need me to explain this to you, but I will anyways:
Forsaken archers abilties:
aoe Volley (base magic damage)
Multi Shot (useless.)
Skeletons (base DOt+physical damage)
Aoe Ulti (base magic damage)
Swiftblade:
Whirlwind (base magic damage,
magic immunity, the ability to continue auto attacking at a reduced speed)
Counterattack (has a chance to counter a melee attack with another attack, so a chance at +1 attack without contributing base attack speed,
only gets stronger as the game progresses)
Crit (critical strike chance,
only gets stronger as the game progresses)
Ult, typically used for a solo gank or initiation
Two very basic carries. One a hard carry, and one a not so hard carry. Is forsaken archer a carry? Yes. Is Swiftblade a carry? Yes. Which carry has the better late game with matched xxx/min? The harder carry. Does this have any fucking thing to do with cleave? No. It doesn't.
Carries are based on their fucking abilities, hence why predator is a carry, his abilities get stronger as the game progresses. Can an int hero like pyromancer carry? Yes. You know why? Because of fervor, it grows as the game progresses. Can a hero like Panda carry? Yes. Know why? Flurry and his ult grow as the game progresses. Is glacius a realistic carry? No. Why? Look at his abilities.
Please stop talking on these forums like you have a fucking clue what you're talking about. 90% of the time you put input on something it screams noob, and the other 10% is common sense.
The moral of the story is cleave has nothing to fucking do with giving an advtange in team fights, early game which is when you should have a fucking runed axe, the cleave is going to be minimal. Cleave is only a % of a regular attack, which is additionally cut down by armor even more so than a regular attack. The advantage is the much faster farm rate which = much faster items which = much faster levels which = much faster rate of carrying. Get it? Good.
