it's hard to tell which is more annoying

"omg gank bot/top omg gank" -> carry to win despite bitching
hold their hands in lane, basically win it for them -> lose because you aren't farmed enough to carry

whats your opinion about Artesia?

we used her in a scrim and i gotta say this hero is rather interesting

she can be rly strong in pubs for sure
in real games she maybe is too squishy and has to live quite some time to deal proper dmg

I think there are always better choices tho

she is farm depended
the thing i dont rly like with her

she suck at dual lane
she needs lvl
she is not that strong in 1v1 ( from what i've seen sofar )

so she kinda needs a freefarm lane

but i'd say she is a teamfight monster

the thing is artesia does more burst damage than torturer, so yeah you're right she is a team fight monster

but she has no stun and her W skill is worthless

yeah and you're right she needs a free farm lane to get levels to do shit, but you'd probably rather have a torturer with a free farm lane anyways, since that hero can make better use of the farm

also she's outclassed by the new EA hero ellonia

ellonia has a better slow, a stun, better farming skills, and a W skill that does something, clear vision, and more burst/AoE than artesia

the thing artesia has over ellonia is the global ult, which can also heal

artesia is garbage but fun to play


The one hidden issue with these 2 heroes is that they basically have a 4-6 second channeling ult. They need to spam their spells to do as much damage as a behe or magmus combo. It's no secret why they reworked vindicator. These heroes need to be in team fights to do dps, they can't just cast their shit in 1 second and run away or fight from the back. Shrunken head would help last in team fights but that item is horrible on them. What's lame is that these heroes won't see play in tournament mode for a long time. Isn't monkey king still banned in tournaments?

It'd be interesting to see artesia played in a global ult strat, say with nymph, moa, and vindi. Too bad thunderbringer is trash garbage and there's no furion.

if good positioning the W skill does alot if i understand the hero correctly

doesnt it fly out like 1 of those small shit per 0.7 sec or so ( of channeling ) + you get charges on your Q
but yes as far as laning phase goes she is kinda bad

i would not go as far to say she is garbage,

i think she needs to be treated something that was ran a long time ago,
if u know enemy will put 1 hero on suicidelane u put her to freefarm there while having a support that can handle their suicider

Artesia is a great heroe, if played in middle/solo.
She's strong against most heroes, if you play her correctly, although she does require a good amount of farm/team fight kills to be at a "carry" potential and useful.

I tend to go: 1/3/1/2 then max 1 and 3.
Before you initiate or ult just channel your W for a second or two and then ult / nuke and you can shoot 3 times.

I go: Steams, Power Supply, Gravelocket, Tablet/Hellflower, Nullstone/Bkb, Spellshards/Sheep.

Works great in most games.

Freshpro's actually been playing a lot of her [not saying he's good or anything] but i came to notice that if you wanted to watch some of his play on her.

havnt really played much of new s2 heroes since ea really

Her W isn't bad
it can heal
it can deal some dmg
but the main part is that it gives you charges for your Q which lower the cd by 75%(?)

when fights are about to start, channel your W, drop your ulti, shoot 4x your Q within 2-3 seconds, means 8x with your ulti + massive E spirits, this way you can deal like 2k dmg easily in those 2-3 seconds, if you hit everything and there are no creeps inbetween etc.
her ulti also gives life and mana regen which many ppl don't think about

but another problem of her is that her ulti can easily be destroyed, 3 or 4 hits, not sure, and it's gone. pretty lame. especially vs defiler/pollywog/wb/ophelia/slither and so on (or in a coordinated team just 4 ppl have to hit it 1 time to destroy it, lol)
