yy players are generally mannered. even if they BM i've never seen anyone take it close to the extent of HoN

i've never even seen people argue, which i'm pretty sure happens in 99.9% of hon games
+ people seem to know inherently how to support, even if they're bad at it they at least get cour/few wards

ofc you sometimes run into idiots, but its way less frequent

also i've actually met some players who i was really impressed by in pubs. its nice to see team playing on a high level and you being a part of it rather than you playing solo and carrying 4 deadweights like in most HoN TMM games.

the dota2 MM system seems alot simpler than HoN's, but so far it seems to be alot better too. MMR is just so skewed its ridiculous. All people below 1700 are trash, then like 95% of 1700 is trash, and 90% of 1800 is trash, and thats being generous. Also people tend to never improve since the game environment sucks so much, they get caught up in trolling and rage chatting and never focus on playing well/better than previously. seems that most people in Dota2 (beta at least) have a different mindset and actually want to play the game the way its meant to be played

I don't think that's a very fair estimate, I'm pretty sure there are some pretty good players who know what's going on in the 1700 bracket. Then there's a lot in the 1800 bracket, at least imo

Before mmr compression there was a Thread on Hon forum about how Eu players had an average of 100 to 150 mmr over US players for the same skill level.

no shit, eu's have been accused of having inflated mmr since a few months after mm 2.0 came out
