whine
this current metagame in the "competitive scene" is extremely suckish imo
all the 2vs1 lanes and all that kind of bullcrap i just hate it,
it's pretty much just about supporting each other and roaming around
and much less about individual skills
i mean last year the game only had 2 options
#1 go trilane vs trilane and x2 solo lanes vs x2 solo lanes, where skills decided the solo lanes and not how much your teammates gank for you
#2 go 3vs1 1 solo lane and 1 suicide lane where the solo lane decided like 60% of the game and the 40% was how much creeps you can stack for your carry
sure it was rice 30 minute no action
but the solo lanes were like 90% based on individual skills
yeah i really enjoyed the trilane metagame. sure it got really boring doing it every game after a while, but am i the only one that is really impressed when people play carry to perfection in trilane vs solo situation?
so many people are like "carry is super easy role you just farm duh". then you put them in a situation where they have freefarm lane and they
1) end up missing like 25% of the CK for no reason except lack of skill/concentration
2) get like 40 CK in 10 minutes and are able to buy icebrand + steamboots on pred then think they are god
3) start roaming around the map cause they have "awesome items" complete, and end up getting like 3 kills and 2 deaths which actually sets them back alot
4) lose to another carry who has discipline and knows that 5 creeps kills basically = 1 hero kill in terms of gold, and 1 death for a carry is a massive massive setback
that's one of reasons i switched to dota. chinese carry players were so impressive because they were 100% dedicated, hardly ever missed creep kills, and knew exactly when to team fight / when to farm. its pretty awesome to watch someone averaging 7 ck / min but still coming to all crucial teamfights and always TPing to defend towers and shit if necessary
