Swiftblade - Topic

hotbl is stronk because he's squishy otherwies

with that + his magic shield he's really tanky for a carry

but phase > steam imo since he already has high attack speed and imo the damage + mobility of phase is great

I prefer steamboots over ghostmarchers because of the added stats. You benefit a lot from the added attackspeed and +10 str for ganking that it's too good to pass up on. Not to metion the ability to swap to int for the extra mana because you're really low on mana(regen) earlygame.

phase allows you great +damage which is more useful than AS in early game for lasthitting and/or chasing. also you don't have to blink as often with phase since you run faster on average. its also great for escaping ganks since you never get stuck on creeps and have a great ms boost

i just find phase better in every way

steam+hotbl aint 1.5k hp when u get them, more like 1.2k and without steams only 1k hp
more attack speed also means more manaburn+dmg and with a 5/6? sec cd blink u have enough mobility aswell

ofc phase boots arent bad on mb and have some nice advantages aswell, but i would go for steams any day
guess you could go for ghost marchers when u are totally slamming your lane because then u can get easy kills early on

In the 1500 bracket where I roll, it's pretty hard to get a babysitter actually.

I usually end up with 400 gpm + at the end of the game anyway though (I know that isn't a lot) so I get my early items a little later than I would with a babysitter, but I do manage since I can farm quite well and know when to grab kills and shit.

To all others; When I play Magebane next I'll try Phaseboots, I've always used Steams before. But your arguments for Phases sure makes sense. Can't to the weekend when I can play again.

I'll also go with the Runed Axe build on Swiftblade, and just try to die less. I always get about ~1,3 KD in the games I play with Swiftblade on average, really need to improve on that.
