Stay away from carries imo, support are the best way to learn hon.

Pay the fuck attention, biggest piece of advice i can say.

If you're in a game and you don't know what every hero does, their cooldowns, and how their skills works you're going to feed randomly. I suppose it's similar to LoL, but HoN gameplay is much more aggressive and you essentially end up fighting at level 1, 2 the latest.

My suggestions would be to at the very least read every skill every hero has and to alt-tab between load times and games to try and learn what every hero does.

tbh if he has 1500 games of lol down, he probably understands each character has a role to fill and probably knows what type of roll he prefers to play already.

i never played dota and was lost for the first 50 games, i'de play voodoo because of cursed grounds and run around and gank all game and yell at tteammates
