I know, man. It really sucks that S2 are not willing to anticipate getting into situations like this until they are forced to deal with it. It's like they don't have anything in mind or sight other than making profit, and then when it comes to things like preventing DoS attacks or any other issues, they only realise they should do something, when it's happening.
well lets review a few facts about s2 company
1) promised TMM and map-editor on release. TMM didn't come out until like a year later and it caused lots of problems at first. map editor still isn't fully functional, and won't be for a long time i think
2) hires power-hungry public trash moderators who ban people as they please, and who abuse their power against people who bring up their obvious lack of skill
3) hires S2 employees who give out free stats resets, reduce pro people's MMR to 1200 or so to stomp, and who BAN people for $$ (no joke, i knew a s2 guy who you could pay $50 and he'd ban someone if possible)
4) creates dumb piece of shit heroes that don't help the metagame at all. think about it. there's like 2 top tier carries in HoN. flint and puppet. most melee heroes aren't as good since FWS and trilane metagame ruins them. meanwhile look at dota. you have medusa, morphling, alchemist (melee but works because of insane tankability) just to name a few that aren't in HoN at all.
5) ported heroes from HoN, but forgot to include details like attack animations. sniper is even better in dota because his attack animation is faster and is invisible. syllabear (wildsoul) is better because of a faster attack and overall smoother play for him and his bear (hard to explain). meanwhile pyro is just stupidly good as a solo in pubs now because of a great attack animation and hugely buffed skills
6) allows low-level retard players like Zaku to boost / do challenges for $$ // whatever because he has S2 friends. meanwhile bans actually good players like Testie to "prove a point"
7) bans anyone on the forums who mentions any of the stuff i did now, or who exercises any creativity or questioning whatsoever
