Witch slayer is pretty fucking hard to actually suck at. You truly have to have downs in order to not play him properly.

i would pick heroes you can get easy kills early game and which do not depend on farm

deadwood, wicthslayer, pyro, pebbles, thunderbringer
play stats, always buy a courier or wards and yout team will probably support you more.

I never played valk, and i simply can't play him.. His movement speed and attack animation, i simply can't play with it combined with his skills.. I think i played him once in HoN, bit more i DotA, but that one time was the shittiest game of my life :S
