I think I overrated it when I used to get it over raw damage.

frostburn is a great pickup on pred gives lots of things

ms maybe not that necessary
ias always good since it helps you drop them faster with your passive
gives some survivability
gives a slow maybe not that necessary
gives some damage ( not much ) but it's something

and later you can make it a geo frostwolf split which isn't bad at all

Well I can see the point in breaking it up to make stronger items, I just really dislike the icebrand part of the frostburn since having the additional snare doesn't make much of a difference most of the time for predator.
Comparing some hp/snare vs armor reduction. The difference seems more noticeable when you pick up a shieldbreaker over an icebrand. Obviously there's a cost difference, but I personally think it's worth it.

IMO, after the geobane / frostburn nerf and the insanitarius buff, the best build for pred in most cases is:

treads
insanitarius
shieldbreaker
cuirass


insanitarius is just so insane. it gives +60 damage for a really cheap cost, along with loads of life and stats, as well as an instant 450 life for juking / escaping. with insani + your uti + shield , you drop most supports in 2-3 hits. really worth a try
