the one thing S2 did well was the net code, you figure valve would want to match that

it's starting to look like by the time dota2 becomes polished, HoN will be just as polished, which means shitty s2 won't go out of business anytime soon

i think the only thing dota2 will have going for it is its larger player base, so the games have the potential to be more competitive assuming valve puts in a robust MM system, currently 95% of my hon games are one sided

does nobody else care about the content?
i personally much prefer the classic dota lineup than the heroes S2 have been pushing out
that's probably one of the biggest killers for me

I didn't really mind except for the now gay KotF, MK, and Drunken Master.

i haven't played war3 dota in 2 years, so no i don't really care about the heroes, and i've played that game off and on from 2003 till 2009 and still don't give a fuck about "classic" heroes

i never got that attached, are you one of those people who beat off to enchantress? do you get wet dreams when you think about critting for over 1k with phantom assassin? do you get nightmares from night stalker?

S2's new heroes are pretty hard to judge due to that EA bullshit, i do enjoy playing midas

however some of the changes S2 has made the game more enjoyable, especially on a pub/solo queue level (free courier, cheaper wards, lesser hellbourne advantage for kong, no secret shop bullshit, faster gameplay)
