baking it let me get to my desktop, but not really, it's done
not a bad life span, 4.5 year old laptop which i've used it more than an average person would
should i get another Sager or try out Asus? Sager has better build quality, and I can drive 45 minutes to their repair facility (no shitty 3 day shipping), or I can get the asus with the backlit keyboard and ridiculously low noise profile for a DTR
old laptop
Sager 5670
t5600 (1.86 dual core)
nvidia 7950gtx
XP Home
Possible new one
Sager 8170
Asus G73
Sager 8130 (if my budget is really tight )
why not build a desktop?
i built mine for $642 and i literally run everything perfectly fine
i disable AA and anisotropic filtering and shit for most games (portal 2 ran ~80 fps fully maxed), like dead space 1 & 2, assassin's creeds, etc, on max textures, graphics quality, etc
so if you just play hon you could probably get a capable computer for like $450 (my cheap $99 mobo's onboard graphics runs sc2 @ 60fps on low and hon at 125 fps on medium
