playing irl is fun though.
have a m8 thats been playing nonstop online poker for ages, he made 30$ into like 2k so far

yeah my friend made $30 into $15k. fucking insane. then full tilt crashed and he can't get it back for the time being

and i enjoy IRL play alot more too, but online much more convenient in most cases. plus so many good grinding opportunities there which are hard to find irl

e: alot to be learned online too. just watch $25/$50 blind tables and see how players play. ofc u can't see hole cards but who its interesting to see how good players manage $5k stacks

any random kid who just studies all day every day can get great highschool grades since 99% of the material requires 0 creativity and can be memorized / learned by anyone with a brain capable of doing so

most important things to focus on are interview skills, SAT/AP scores, and being a creative and rounded person in general. most high-end colleges don't want "bookworms", they prefer people who have experienced many things and have a unique attitude / view of life.

just my thoughts based on experience / things i've seen.
