ideally it'd be great to be able to make good money and really enjoy what you do

but if i had to choose i'd definitely go for enjoyment over money.

if money is your only goal in life go become a wall-street market guy or some massive corporate lawyer. otherwise just choose what you like and at least give it a go. so many ppl give up on dreams just because they want money to buy worthless shit they'll hardly ever use.

ofc, if making money is what makes you happy then go make money
i respect whoever can live on either of the extremes
if i had an opportunity to go be a Ruby dev for $150k salary i'd definitely do it over going to ubisoft for a $50k salary, but if somebody was in my same boat and would end up killing themselves out of depression from living in the middle of nowhere developing boring Ruby apps all day then they'd obv have a different facet of the whole cliché money vs happiness philosophy

my friends that i eat lunch with weren't here today

so ate with 2 of my other friends, they eat with like 10 of the smartest kids in our school.

i had the lowest gpa, mine is like a 3.4, everyone at the table had a 4.0+

one kid is a JR and is graduating this year and attending USC (california) on a full ride

another kid going to northwestern

one to chicago

one to stanford

one to berkley

and idk the rest
