i made $13 000 over the summer ($2000 was taxed which i'll get back when the time comes)
was easy enough that they all loved my nuts and my appraisal is an A+
treated me like a real employee, i was actually above a real employee and helped her by answering her questions and teaching her how my program worked and stuff

i'm terrible programmer compared to all the cs nerds, much better mathematician
math degree = teacher or homeless

was considering switch until i got internship, and i had prob the most challenging one cuz i did more than so many employees
work force is a joke compared to school, nn scared
see that C for my software development? kid who i help out and basically tutor got a B

i guess if i fail at computer science i could always fall back on teaching high school computer science like An True Small Son...

don't limit yourself to your degree

i'm doing a comp sci degree and know already i don't want to do anything directly related to it

i started my internship today at the department of transportation, and every time i passed someone's cubicle they were surfing the web, huge joke

i think only a small percentage of the people actually work hard

also another huge joke was that another intern was deaf, so to communicate we had to write shit down and show it to her, wtf total time waste

it's pretty interesting how this planning type job came about, it's kind of a bullshit profession, they basically said fuck you big business, you can't build it that fast, you need to jump through these hoops

now these hoops are probably good, the government makes sure these manage traffic, pollution, wildlife, aesthetics, safety, etc...

but then it takes a lot of man hours to research all these things, there's a fucking 10 page report of light and brightness of this residential area

sadly this bureaucracy is the future

remote sensing and you have all the those problems but aesthetics and safety done.
