well guitar hero is nothing at all like real guitar so nPs
keeping rhythm eZ to learn to if you just practice scales / patterns with a metronome like 1 hour a day
and when doing covers backing tracks almost always help you keep rhythm and also let you know at certain points where you're meant to be in the solo or whatever so you can get back on track if you need
hardest thing imo is finding that "perfect" tone since even with best guitar in world if your amp settings suck you will sound awful.
