used to take for a yr or so from some guy who was rly fucking good. i was too dumb then to understand all he was trying to teach me but now i look back and it was actually really useful.

going to try to find new lessons soon too

Is it hard to play guitar?

not rly

u can teach yourself most things if you have a little knowledge and dedication

but i suck @ finding good tone and would be nice to find someone who could help me out and save me years of painful learning





too much $$. last guy i took lessons from was from a big band and it was insanely expensive

and y its hard but impossible to really compare to other instruments since its completely different

alot easier to get flowing sound (if u have distortion / delay / reverb), but alot harder to find nice tone and play cleanly

could imagine, i bet i would suck ass at it, im terribad at keeping any kind of rhythm/timing. Tried guitar hero ps3 once, got slaM'd by a little scrub ~10 years old at some local mart where they gave people the opportunity to try it, was easy mode, was embarrasing....

well guitar hero is nothing at all like real guitar so nPs

keeping rhythm eZ to learn to if you just practice scales / patterns with a metronome like 1 hour a day

and when doing covers backing tracks almost always help you keep rhythm and also let you know at certain points where you're meant to be in the solo or whatever so you can get back on track if you need

hardest thing imo is finding that "perfect" tone since even with best guitar in world if your amp settings suck you will sound awful.
