there are other contingencies here as well, having a ward, good lasthitting, skill level etc
i've seen ppl win mid on meele heroes vs high mobility ones, aka say pred vs hag or nomad vs sil

if a hag is vs a pred mid she can obviously not kill him aka 100% free runecontrol and setup ganks on other lanes so you win 2/3 lanes
