The downside of the 2 limit buyback is that if you use one early game it could cost you late game. You have no idea whether using your buy back at 15 minutes is a good strategy. Or what if you could have won the game with an early buy back? I don't like this steep penalty for a misuse of an early buyback.
The DotA system is a 4 minute cooldown on buy back? That seems pretty reasonable for 99.9% of HoN/DotA players. In ricefest chinese DotA, a longer cooldown could probably help.
The HoN buyback system is probably fine for everyone under 1750 rating, which is what, 85% of the community? I like the DotA buyback better.

u guys are just dumb s2 haters for no reason. ofc it has both, advantages and disadvantages, but the advantages weight way more, because 90% of the hon players are positively affected by the free courier. and probably even the comp scene won't care too much about it since both teams get the courier.
ppl should finally stop seeing HoN as a (pure) DotA copy and enjoy the new and fresh ideas s2 brings to the game. i mean just compare the kongor area from dota2 and hon, how fucking dumb is this in dota2? and i'm also happy that s2 made hon to a ganking intense game instead of this dumb ricing crap from dota
It's just a slow grade into an easier game. They're LoLifying it.
It would have been better if they came up with a way to reward players for buying couriers. For example, in every 5th game you played with a courier you got 1 silver coin, 2 silver coins if the courier was upgraded in under 5 minutes.

it's really sad how ppl care more about their stats than about winning.
played a 1500psr game yesterday on a f2p acc, all midwars
we were owning, 1 of us dced, i played tdl was farmed as hell and owned them hard. but cause of the dc 2ppl from my team went afk aswell and said "it's over, can't win 4vs5, better concede with good kd"
guess what, me and the other guy won 2vs5 and suddenly, 4min before we've ended the afkers played again cause they realized we would really win
when i started with hon i really loved the stats tracking but now i think it has many negative effects and would like if they get deleated. but then again you don't know who would be a good player or a good carry player etc.
S2 should place more of an emphasis on wins or win%. Or better yet, have more detailed stats. Like when someone picks or pre selects a hero, you see the stats they have for that hero.
When you see some guy pre select hag and call for mid, you see all his hag stats. You see he's got 30 win and 10 losses on hag. It shows he gets 45 cs and 2.1 kills in the first ten minutes. It shows his item preferences etc... That would stop people fighting at the picking screen.
When people afk mid game because they think they will lose, that just screams to me you're a bad leader. There are some kids who will quit no matter what, but most of the time your leadership skills are probably subpar.
S2's solutions for problems with the game suck dick.
