yes but most people play low tier publics and there u dont get cur or u get some noob unsharing etc...
i understand why they did it and i also understand ur point
i'd rather have a default one than none at all and have to mid
pld plenty of games where i was mid and was sitting on 1500-2000 with no cur
while other team already had flying and my team had the nerve to ask for ganks
but from a competitive standpoint it's a really bad change to make
anything that can be argued to be 'even' for both sides doesn't necessarily make it a good change
we can use LoL and HoN as an example
in LoL, no denying promotes and enables excessive lane farming
you get flash after your account reaches a certain level, which is a blink ability for your account, and is what you see in every 'competitive' game
wards are cheap, they are infinite in supply
this means a few things:
ALL you need to do during laning phase is stay alive and last hit
you don't need to worry about that valkyrie whose javelin is beating off in her hand trying to fake out your denies, the whole creep killing mind gaming is removed and all you seriously need to do is just sit there and farm
with flash, you are forgiven for poor positioning
being JUST in range of someone's stun doesn't mean you die right away
being 300 units too far away from your tower doesn't mean you die right away
if you get jumped or realize you are out of position (you know that doomed feeling when you realize mid is MIA and you're pushed up to enemy tower in the long lane and you just barely died by 100 units of distance from repulsor's magnet pull)
it'd be like playing 5 hags vs 5 hags or magebanes or whatever
or everybody starting out with a portkey
you can sit in the lane, farm it for 3 minutes, buy a ton of wards, and have the entire map revealed
with the limit in place on wards, being counter-warded is pretty big, but being able to just throw another one up means you can maintain vision where you want and greatly reducing the effect of being counter-warded from having no vision in that area and losing 100g to losing 75g and having to spend another 75g on another ward
it'd be like having a hotkey in SC2 to select any units on screen with 20% hp or less
micro would still be micro, but the skill ceiling and overall level of the metagame would be so greatly lowered
TL;DR
LoL is an example of shit
HoN is an example of a tasty meal eaten and being shit out aka turning to shit
