Where in the hell have people gotten the idea that hatchet, shield and runes of blight are good starting items on every single melee hero?
I've seen like 3 magmuses get it recently. It must be in a guide or something, like that godawful punchdagger and health pot

you think its a joke? think again, you get +9 damage and you can harass alot easier, later on make it into ghost marchers or save it up for a codex
if you dont have the +9 damage

• last hitting
• harassing
• denying

they will all be much harder
