Obviously the problem is when you look at the long-term. Those of us that bought the game a while ago had certain expectations, and through each baby step toward this inevitable end, we've gotten a little more unhappy. We've come to dislike the company, and won't be interested in the brand in the future. Was HoN a good game? Sure it was - but would I want to buy another game from the same company? Not really. Like many others, this was just a way to tie together the gaps between dota and dota2, and S2 had the chance to steal away those customers permanently. Instead of developing company loyalty, they went for the fast money model, which will bite them in the ass in the long term.
