apparently S2 only has 2 programmers, that's why they are slow as fuck at doing anything

I used to support S2.
Balance moderator, 'competitive' player, and you can even see me in the game's credits!
I don't support S2 anymore, because frankly, I think their mentality and business decisions are atrocious. Asides from their 2 (?) programmers, I'd say the rest of them are exceedingly lazy. Logistically, having only two programmers means that they’re able to bounce ideas and architecture off of each other. Only each other. They learn less as opposed to a team of five programmers, with the team divvied up into separate projects (spell coding, UI, bug-fixing, QA, etc.). This in turn would mean more quality brought to a game that needs streamlining and optimization - never mind the speed at which content would be released as well as fixed.
In terms of balancing, whoever heads it (not naming names) is lazy. Simply put, he/she does not do enough at all. Hardly do they ever bounce ideas off of competitors, whether it be theorycraft or objects in the works. The amount of time it takes for him/her to address concerns can extend past a month. And lets be honest here – there is no process, and if I’m mistaken, the process must be incredibly long-winded. Idejder, the fellow who used to manage balancing, would expedite changes for quicker, and at times even CnP’ing things I had come up with which he agreed with. Now? Look at the last patch – was Tree nerfed? No? I don’t even play the game anymore and I would know that having ten 600 HP minions (even with an uptime of 15 seconds before the first batch expires) is broken.
Their free-to-play model? Half-assed and an effort to make the most of a sinking ship.
If they had another coder, maybe the map editor would have multiplayer integration by now. You know, the only functionality/feature that could save HoN from becoming a complete wasteland. Its saving grace being that someone would clone DotA/DotA2 for our pleasure.
