I will concede the fact that DotA was a better game than HoN from the years 2003-2008.

However from 2009-2011 HoN is the better game.

s2 improved it imo by adding stuff wc3 engine could never have
then they turned hon to shit by starting to change stuff that didnt need any changing

yup, only improvements were to the engine
but even then, wc3 engine never had units getting stuck on the corners of buildings
and it had better pathing imo

better in terms of grapihcs and engine yes but thats not icefrogs fault really

you arent going to design a whole new engine and market it as 1 person with no huge financial backing

dota was pretty much always a better game in terms of balance and competitive potential, though i do admit hon had it beat in the fact that dota used the shitty wc3 engine


but now hon horrible because you all paid $$ and now some idiot off the streets can DL it for free. also if you want to play heroes which some other nerds who paid $$ have access to, you need to pay $$ as well. and i don't even want to get into the whole new heroes thing in HoN, that is some of the most shitty design i've ever seen, even 14 year old kids on dota forums think of better concepts

make a script to place cursor at appropriate coordinates and then activate auto left-clicker
or stick a bit of tape to your screen where he is and spam click it asap

HoN is still a great game, it's the company is really really shitty. You have to separate the two

they made some nice balance changes

the only thing they fucked up was the early release content

rushing content is a terrible thing to do
taking time and releasing a single hero every month or two months is way more sensible than polluting the hero pool with garbage

reminds me of those shitty fighting games where there are like "CHOOSE FROM 100 FIGHTERS" instead of "CHOOSE FROM 20 FIGHTERS WITH HIGHLY DEVELOPED METAGAME AND UNIQUENESS"
