this
i enjoy very much
it's almost why i like grimm's crossing so much, cuz the most logical thing (imo) is to rice the entire game
but in grimm's crossing, ricing is completely removed and it's all down to playing it out
ricing is like something that doesn't really have a high technical skill ceiling, since mostly everything you do revolves around theory and calculation (distance, timing, spreading auto attacks with runed cleaver and aoe spells to minimize the amount required, etc, of everything to maximize gold gain while balancing other things like defending, timing tp to get every last lane creep you can before enemy reaches you and gets you, and making many other decisions)
so as long as the people on your team aren't totally derped you should be fine
like testie, very good rice playstyle, but when he has enough weight on his back a bunch of rands can stomp his face and embarrass him with ease
hard carry isnt a role you will stomp public games solo on so easily
you need mid with semi-carry with ganking potential, its the only way
but with a friend or two hard carry is the easiest guaranteed win. when me + ecstasy played dota pub we were 4v5, him CM me naga siren and 2 other rands with garbage heroes. enemy team had super tryhard lineup and everything but because i got to freefarm lane i had 20 min manta + treads + diffusal = slaM anyone regardless. same concept applies to almost any public
and imo ricing has a very high skill ceiling to do perfectly. takes alot of practice to not miss any creeps in freefarm lane and to know where to farm at certain times. also since supports roam so much in metagame now u have to be able to last hit well solo vs another hero. i guess the hardest thing though is having the discipline to keep farming even after you've got your core items and not just get like 20 min nullstone and then 40 mins nothing else
