iono what they teach in canada, but most of the talented people in mainstream music ( not talking about rap and shit) classical style, all graduate from top musical schools

thats not mainstream.
i guarantee 99% of people on the radio did not go to school for music

mainstream music these days is pop and electronic/drum n bass/dubstep shit
the famous classical performers don't make good money when you look at successful bands
dropouts who aren't even that talented in paramore, other bands like avenged sevenfold, linkin park, other popular rock/metal bands
katy perry, kesha, etc, all make ridiculous amounts of money
or you can be a really ugly dude who wears a mouse mask and makes more money in a year than any of those performers with their degrees will hope to make in their entire career

seems like a waste of time when you can get on with your life

whats that phd/american schooling cost a year 35k?

have fun working a year to pay one year of school off.

doesn't matter how trash, that's how the music industry works
unless you're in engineering or computer science, getting a decent job is quite difficult if you're just average, as far as college goes
bunch of people going through crises atm rethinking their business degrees, math degrees, etc, in fear of bad job security, few friends dropped out and doing trades at community college now and will be in better position than probably 80% of the kids who go to uni
