In the past when I first started posting here I would usually make tldr posts or replies
I kinda gave up posting after I stopped caring for the game but I still check this forum every now and then.
I decided it's time I wrote an essay for all of u esses here
anyway let's get to it! In my mind there were a few major changes that made the game worst
-first one is making hon free to play which invited all the lowbies, retards and idiots into the game
-second was mmr compression and making games +/-5 mmr which really gives no incentive to win
Another big problem now is skill level of players which can be the same ranging anywhere from 1400 to 1700
Too many people throw or troll games these days and sometimes u cant even tell if they are bad, trolling or just dont care about outcome
The big skill dispersion took away the reason to try and win games because there is very little difference in games ranging 1400-1700 so people feel no point in gaining or losing mmr
There are many scenarios that happen on a regular basis that result in the ruining of games, some of them are
-dual mid, kid requests mid but other kid wants it for himself and they are both too stubborn and they go together which in 90% of cases ends up in a thrown game
-people that have forest heroes, some are bad or some don't gank enough or at all and thus not only they lose potential gold/xp but the solo guy gets completely shut down as well
-warding, some teams do get wards and control map+runes and ganks and if the other team doenst have any support its probably a lost cause
-people raging at each other on lanes or mid rages cause no wards, people feeding getting ganked or failing lanes, u name it! it generally results in team losing interest for the game and losing
All of the above usually applies to solo queuing and ofc if u do play with at least a friend or 2 u drastically increase ur chance to win even if the players are average because at least u get a good setup and people play their roles proper so u dont end up with 5 carries or 2 mids or no support etc....
For my part I kinda gave up on the game so now I wont really care of the outcome aka winning/losing but I do have a mindset for winning when I play. Let me elaborate on that.
Every time I play I start by wanting to win but there are elements that will make me not give a shit about the game and those are created by other players. If I'm bothered I will try and help out people with advice or ganks but mostly trying to keep a positive attitude even if things go wrong early game. If I do see there is no hope or cases of obvious trolling or feeding and whatnot I will straight up give up on the said game but I won't say or do anything incriminating cause no1 wants a ban right? Basically u just let the game play in it's current state, hope for a 15 min cc and move on.
Now I will move on to the section on how I play hon and there are only a few ways to do it from my pov
-go mid with a dominant hero or a ganker which has very strong early to mid game presence
-if I cant go mid, I will try to pick a jungler or a carry but if my lane partner ruins my lasthits or doesnt support me proper I will most likely go woods as soon as I can effectively farm there
-i don't ever play support unless i queue with other people or if i see a potentially good player in team
also a tip on that, try to ignore stats for the most part because they don't mean much, if a kid with low stats plays carry or wants mid at least give him the benefit of the doubt. He might actually do good and i've seen many cases on people with bad stats that completely dominated the game. If i see people that are at least trying to the best of their ability instead of blaming others or blaming setup or whatever else, I will try and help them out anyway I can. This is basically what it comes down to in solo queuing games: ATTITUDE! Teams with ragers mad kids and noobs I kinda abandon hope straight off the bat because I do not care for the constant bickering and winning the game in most cases wont make up for having to put up with the bs from said people which kills any fun that there is to be had.
Sadly as stated above, many games get ruined simply because of attitudes of the kids playing. Here's an example: u go mid and completely shut down their mid and his farm, u go help out lanes and setup ganks and yet people still do not ward or carries fail to farm proper. In this case u do wanna win but u feel as if u r playing alone because nobody else is really doing anything. Ofc u do wanna keep playing good initially as u see u r doing great but everybody has a threshold and if u do see u really are playing by urself or that team has no chemistry or support u eventually give up.
So in conclusion for me hon still is fun to play and I usually play with a friend but even when I solo queue as stated above going mid/carry or woods to avoid any possible tantrum with other players can have a good outcome. I do this because I have no more will to try and put up with other people so I try to avoid it altogether also I admit I am spiteful and if people troll or grieve me I will most likely throw the game. Bottom line is, if u solo queue play to win initially, have a good attitude don't get involved in flames and try to have fun even if u lose. U can also have fun by trolling urself, throwing random remarks at ur mid if he dies 'nice mid fail, or feeder mid' or if u happen to get owned mid blame supports for not warding, if u play carry and cant farm blame ur lane partner for not harassing and so on etc. The main point is that in hon it's never ur fault u always have to blame team or other people, because we all know you yourself are an awesome player right and when u end up losing its because other people are dragging u down!
ffs Really? Who writes this long?
