if you pubtrain in early and midgame monkey king cannot just go in and burst somebody down = the hero is useless

playing pyro vs mk is the worst possible matchup imo

Well, you can push with your Q before rune spawns and grab them

but I see what you're saying, landing any sort of ground stun on a MK won't be happening

yea, and i'm a hyperaggressive player so monkey king invariably trashes me on pyro when I think I can land a stun and end up stunning the ground ><
that actually doesn't annoy me as much as when you've almost got him dead and he disjoints the last autoattack.. they really need to remove the disjoint / nerf that skill a bit

someone made a thread months ago asking the same question, too lazy to dig it up, but if i recall there was no solid counter, just heroes that tie the lane

i would say duallane or any melee like kraken, peb or dev so u can just farm and wont be killed that easily

Devour, Pebbles, Arachna, Hag, Silhouette, Nomad, Tundra, Revenant [Known Mid Heroes] do rather well vs him.

But generally any hero does okay vs him if you know how to read their playstyle and harass hard enough early so you can control the lane but once he's lvl 3-4 it gets kinda tricky and difficult if you don't know what your doing and when to expect him to try and combo you down when you get out of position.

Always helpful having a friend who plays support hop on the each rune spot every 2 minutes so you can have rune control and ofc a gank here/there is always a plus but that's rare in under 1750 brackets.

hag gets destroyed, probably rev too since his invis has a fade time

arach also gets crushed since web has a gay casting time
