There is a fair amount of luck involved in getting a high MMR rating, but make no mistake if you deserve to be say 1800+ you will get there.

I advise you to stop caring about your rating and especially stop caring about useless stats like KDR ect.

I hovered around 1750 for awhile before I stopped caring about any sort of stats and quickly shot up and maintained 1850+ on 4 different accounts.
(Reason for so many accounts was because once you get to about 1800 mmr rating queue times go through the roof and 80% of the time I am always blue/pink player which can get frustrating at times.)
(Also I more or less solo queue'd only.)

You're one and only focus is to win the game you are currently playing.

To minimize on the smurfs play verified only and SD/BD/BP only.
I always thumbs down AP and AR because I get tired of always seeing the same heroes picked in AP and AR is too luck based, also 90% of smurfs only play AP and choose a pubstomp hero.

Also people don't really recognize this, but HoN is a very emotional game, rage and frustration really does affect overall game play in a big way.
Try to always keep a cool-head and use voice chat to communicate to your team and I guarantee you'll raise up in the ranks.

not caring about stats will get you higher in tmm, real talk

the best support when laning is to try to deny creeps n let ur other partner ( Carry) take the last hits. u'll usually end up 100~150 gpm as support

so if ur on support n care about gpm, then u are fucked

apm doesn't mean much. you can play well with low APM and badly with high APM

TSR is pretty skewed towards KD, seen lost of garbage smurfs with high TSR

exp and gold/min depend on what role you play

same with wards placed

K+D+A is pretty good stat to look at, but still doesn't mean much cuz people can play SW or TB and just get 5 assists a fight by clicking 1 button.


overall i think winrate + mmr is most important stat.

anything 55+% is pretty good for higher mmrs.
