I ended up spending 2,200 gold on wards and lost the game. I think I'd have had a better chance if I wasn't the only one moving around the map to ward, you have to remember that cuts down on your GPM too because you can't farm.

That's a bit excessive...

Well the game went for over 40 minutes, 22 wards (including a few rev wards) isn't that much

go place the ward and stack at the same time or move a little more and do a gank

good point but i didnt have geos yet, i had marchers vanguard and firebrand done but my team was just shitty

started out 4-0-5 bloodlusted top lane and was 2 levels higher than the enemies mid

team just sucked so hard i couldnt carry it out

Hellbringer and Slither should be warding and hammerstorm can help out after being able to pick up his portal key

slither has ward skill, with that you can push towers really quick, farm/push lanes, neau creep etc.
doesn't really need items like the other heroes to be effective early/mid game, since ur poison already does a lot of DPS early game.
Slither also usually supports ganking, so yeah should be warding and it doesn't hurt when others help out either.
