Is HOTBL considered bad on him? I like it, he suddenly becomes a lot less squishy.

He has a built in bkb, how is he squishy?

rush lifetube, boots, phaseboots, and mana tube ( all these need to be gotten by 10 min )
phaseboots, runeaxe at 16 mins
then go frostburn

yeah he's squishy if you get caught out of position and disabled. but otherwise spin + ulti is like 10 seconds of invulnerability early-mid game

True, I just play him wrong I guess. I use those spells at a start of a fight usually.
