hi
since hon went free 2 play you can only create limited accounts which have access to only 15heroes and 1 game mode and this sucks hard.
if you want a full account (called legacy account) i can sell you one via paypal
got 5 different accounts and i dont need that many anymore
if u are interested let me know

- I've been playing HoN since beta in 09, it has progressed a long way since then.
- It was originally $30 but it is now free to play for new players but you only get a select amount of heroes to play per week [they change them].
- You can purchase more heroes w/ the coins you win from games or w/ real $ to be able to play more heroes other then the limited ones they give you per week.
- They update every other week w/ patches / new heroes and sometimes balance patches.
- You can still play all the same game modes from Dota.
- There's a decent amount of "Dota Ports" on HoN that you could adapt too and pick up on from the start. Example link here: http://borkweb.com/story/heroes-of-newerth-dota-hero-equivalents [HoN To Dota Equivalents]
- There's a Matchmaking System to Solo que or Team que which is fairly fast load times and relatively even skill levels on both sides.
- There's assist gold, can buy single wards [cheaper], no more secret shop [it's now like a support shop], they edited some parts of the map to make the gameplay better.
- There's a Shop to buy alt avatars, new heroes, more heroes, account icons/colors/voice packs ect w/ the coins you earn from games or $ you spend on it.
- 35,000+ People on it daily.

I probably missed a lot but that's more then enough.
If you're coming from Dota you [will] enjoy it a lot.
It's not too hard to pick up, just takes a bit.
Give it like 50+ games and you'll figure it out / get the hang of it if you're fairly familiar w/ or good at Dota.

thanks alot for that good answer :)

i have peoples' posts blocked so i might repeat some answers

1) If you're a dota fan, yes this game is worth it. It's actually worth it to try and get a legacy account, as playing with basic accounts suck dick. If you really enjoy this game being stuck with 1/6th the hero pool sucks. Maybe you should create a basic account see if you like it then buy a legacy account. I can get into legacy account buying later if you're still interested (you'll either get one on jsp for fg, or you'll have to pay cash on eebay)

2) HoN shits on warcraft 3 dota

3) Lots of people play it, 20k-60k people on at all times. Basic account queue times are usually under a minute wait.

The game takes a while to get used to though. The graphics and hot keys and shop are a lot different than dota. Plus there are new heroes you have to get used to. It'll probably take you 50+ games to get the hang of it.

You're not going to know whether you like this game since it takes 50 games to figure it out. So you shouldn't really give up till you figure out what all the heroes do and how to buy items and whatnot.

I played dota for 3+ years. I enjoy HoN much more.
They even have a disconnect system where you can rejoin if you drop from the game. (5 minute timer)
I tried going back to dota and almost died. HoN is way better.
