Alienware's are a good computer, yes.
But you're paying more so for the brand and the looks.
Just like people w/ mac's and apple products.

You can pay a lot less and get the same performance out of it.
And no, ASUS and MSI are great computers.
Infact, MSI/ASUS have some of THE BEST mother boards out there for desktops.

I work at a computer store, i think i would know the difference between computers.

alienware is fantastic, if he swaps the 560M to the 6990M then he's got a super baller laptop that either of the ones i linked come no where close to




it's just, for his needs, if he's going to be playing dota 2, starcraft 2, w/e other games and not playing every new release that comes out expecting to run fully maxed with 16x AA, reflections, shadows, etc, for the next 4 years, then lower-cost alternatives will do just fine

i just need something i can play dota2 on, and mass effect 1/2/3 (when it comes out) on max settings
