Well what do you know.

Seems as though a bunch of problems with their network has led to the corruption of a database table. I’m not a database administrator by trade (but have done work under the title), but I can conclude there must’ve been some sloppy practices going on to not have a backup OF A LARGE TABLE THAT SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO CRASH THE ENTIRE GAME WHEN CORRUPTED. Seriously? If my boss came to me, I told him the table was corrupted and we were having problems, the FIRST thing I’d be asked is “how old is the backup?” Then I’d have to say “I don’t have a backup” and get labeled incompetent.

High-level, simple example: create an extract-transfer-load package that dumps the information in the database elsewhere in case it crashed. yay.

Now the fun begins: This was double coins weekend. This was the weekend that was supposed to make up for the DDoS and all the fun with that, but the system is down again. Maybe triple coin weekend?

Nobody specified which database got corrupted, if that is even the case. It could be anything, potentially.
