cause its the #1 excuse

i dont belong in the 1300s i always get tards!! =(

to win as mid solo player, you need just yourself in-game
to win as hard-carry sidelane, u need 1 good support friend
to win as support player, you need 1 good carry friend

that should give you at least 70% win up to 1800 or so

add in a 3rd player to fit the odd role and you get 90+% win easy

Not demanding at all. And I'm sorry you feel that way, but I have a life outside of hon.

pretty sure most of us do here
don't try the elitist thing, if you're 'stuck', as you say, which implies mid to low 50s percent win rate at 1680, you really can't blame your teammates
people on jsp will be glad to help if you can admit your own faults, but seems to me you can't

very true statements
edit: though i must add that you have to be competent yourself
my friend is trapped in 1600s because i've seen him play and he has to periodically look down at his keyboard to find keys, has all 4 fingers of his left hand positioned over QWER when he plays, has horrible mouse control, is slow at analyzing situations, etc

but yeah, if you're someone who is generally good at games hon is pretty eZ once you learn the general playstyle smack laid out to succeed solo

I really hate the stat tracking of HoN. You have to pay $20, get S2 guy to reset you, or boost a friends acct (which btw is "illegal" according to some idiot S2 forum moderators). I hope in DotA 2 they have stats but that you can just make a new account whenever, kind of like BNET

all it does is harbor stat whores
ideal stat tracking for dota 2 will be
win % (or wins and losses), like in sc2
rating (psr, mmr, w/e), or leagues (also like in sc2, though i like rating unless they plan on making 30 leagues)

that way, people do what it takes to win so they get their rating and their wins, and not everybody wants to play carry so they can have a KDR that lets them sleep at night

well in sc2 you don't have roles such as support or carry

so kdr wouldn't be as important as lets say when i see an orange pick madman wiht .6 kdr and 40 cs a game

I don't mind stats tracking either way, as long as you can make new accounts for free. It's so dumb to always have to play seriously to win, and it's stupid to force people to wait huge queue times because they are good players (like in 1900 MMR tmm)

yes but does it matter?
a player with .6 kdr and 40 cs a game would be properly placed in his rating bracket
like what happened to playing games for fun? scrims in cs were fun as shit and there was/is no stat tracking in that
but in games now like black ops, people will sit beside a flag in domination and not cap it because they don't want to get naded or spammed and get a death on their stats
tracking win/loss means terran faggots will lift their entire base and waste 10 minutes of your time when you proxy void ray them and they cry that it was cheesy or some shit
detailed stat tracking means that we have those .6 kdr 40 cs a game madman faggots who want to increase their kdr by playing madman but won't be able to learn properly, it means that we have a pharaoh who won't initiate because he doesn't want to die, even though the team fight would be a for-sure win
some people who are good support players don't like playing support because it ruins their KDR

etc etc etc

but you have to view it at s2 point's of view.

stat tracking encourages playing
for the longest time i just played to get my psr to 1800
then to get it to 1850
if they didn't have psr i probably would have quit hon
