yeah agree. Kraken is probably one of the strongest initiations in the game. The only problem is he has no laning potential so he has to go mid. And I'm not really sure whether he could do well against a good player on arachna or something.

well a good arachna is always a bitch for any melee in mid, but imo he can handle most heroes very well in middle ( but you're pretty much required to use bottle courier ) that way you wont have to leave lane and you wont die but the only downside with this is that their midplayer will have the runecontrol

not true for armadon, if he lasts until the end of the fight he's doing 410, 440, 470, etc in AoE rape damage

yep and instead of focusing him down all you could do is

puzzlebox/ws manadrain

until he is oom and therefor he stand in the fight being useless
