Do you mean Server? If you're talking about servers, it's because the company refuses to pay for hosting elsewhere. A lot of foreign countries will charge FUCK loads for hosting services.

If you happened to see that post in HoN forums a little while ago about why they don't have any Australian Servers was because of the price. They listed that they pay something like $200 a month per box in the US, and to host it in Austrailia, the exact same service would cost roughly $10,000 a month or some crazy shit.

I meant like, I've never heard of a game made by Australians (or one popular enough)... Do they not have video game companies there, or anywhere near? That would imply that the servers would be near you.

And I guess I'll answer this question. It matters where it is made because you will lag if it's not close to you. And, if it's made somewhere else, not many speak your native language (I'm not talking about Aussies, I'm talking about the Chinese and Brazilian people).

It just seems like the only high end game options for ANYONE in the world are the ones in the US.
