imo build a desktop, mine was $642.xx (i always brag about my cost:performance) and i still run anything on the market, when BF3's real graphics hit (out of beta) it'll be one of the few games that gives me a struggle when maxed

and this was like 18 months ago so you could ez make one much better
also bought a laptop a few weeks ago for only $350 after taxes and environmental fees etc etc for school if that is why you want a laptop

if you have to get a laptop tho i dunno, most higher end laptops are going to be roughly the same cost:performance ratio, which will always be many factors below a desktop you could put together

What kind of games?
Any software programs?

Here's an example, ASUS that's just as good for half the price almost, it was $1129 a week ago, went up:

Stick w/ ASUS or MSI computers, they're fairly good and for the price.

I was too lazy to find it on newegg, i work at compusa so i already had it favorited.
