apparently some beta tester told somebody this. but still a rumor and can't provide proof or else valve slaM the guy with fines.

they said Q3 2011. since thats basically here now and they made no other mention i assume they will keep their word

gamescon is 17-21st. apparently game has been tested extensively already, so hopefully they just fucking release it after the preview. i have a feeling they will wait a couple of months though
