So every once and a while I like to really focus on getting better with one hero. Slithers the one I picked for right now.

I've been reading through some guides and watching some pro replays of good slither games.

Just looking for some more ideas on how to play him.


I've seen everything from tanky helm/shams in mid to staff/shoud or BkB.

How do you guys like to play him? Same thing with his skill build, I've seen wards left till 8 and I've seen them maxed over toxicity.

treads, vanguard, vestment, assasin shroud, an orb of ur choice

his skillbuild is kinda either what you need or what you prefer,

you can choose to maxout wards at level 7 if you wanna try get some early towers>farm lane/jungle faster

shoud/staff/shrunken i'd say is fucking useless

steamboots helm and after that you can go pretty much whatever you want, it all depends on what you feel you need

skillbuild wise i kinda like to go my emo build where you get 1 spray maxout the passive then get stats and on level 10 11 you get ultimate

and you just go for tanky items and in teamfights you go put 1 autoattack on everyone, and if they choose to focus you down they will have to waste alot which will make it easy for your team to clean up

also should have mention, slither mid is kinda weak if you want him solo you need to get him on your shortlane solo versus someone, then you'll fucking rape em since you got so long distance to chase

what undeadgad has described is the true strength of slither..he can be anything your team needs from the no gold needed ward whore, to a simi carry...just depends on what you need.

Ya I've always played him differently in mid and gone into wards to get the quick tower push and op vision on the high ground. Kind of sucks to compromise take over his passive tho.

Your other skill build sounds weird tho, idk if I'd want to skip out on his skills to go stats, his stuff is just so handy some times.

Ya I think I've seen this most, but I do play at a lower lvl than you guys for sure, 1660 right now. Nice that tox isn't an attack modifier now, I kind of want to try out an ice brand to stack the slow, might be fun.
