For that video, why are there 3 on bottom lane from both teams? I've recently just got back into HoN but last time I played DotA/HoN it was always 2-1-2 and not 1-1-3. What advantages are there doing the 3 on the bottom lane vs say the standard 2-1-2?

trilane, two support help carry get mega farmed, while two other lanes solo and hope they win lanes, based on picks.

advantages only come if your team wins the trilane and other lanes dominantly, if you win the trilane and your other lanes lose you are still gunna get raped by the overlevel'd mid + other solo

to protect and get the carry superior farm e* and of course to have your 2 solos get really quick levels, for heroes like bubbles, ss, maybe tort etc
no one really does it in random matchmaking games until like 1850ish mmr so you needn't worry about it

Hmmm so for that game who was the carry for the bottom lane? Valk and ??? glacius/tort/elec all seemed like support heroes.

oh, weird. didn't watch. i thought they usually gave tort the farm

if they were gunna give tort farm, tort woulda been played in solo lane

torturer is not really a support hero whatsoever, more like ganker/semi carry even, i just guess he was the farmer on that trilane.
might be elec as well, as elec kinda scales and _can_ kinda have a semi carry role (hi mana shield)(check out pro player "brized" or his history about that).

Definitely interesting. I guess this works out because they pretty much have last hits assigned to certain heroes? Whereas this wouldn't really work in a sub 1800 matchup cuzzz pubbers just wanna KS everything?
