never really thought about it until now
and i only thought about it now because i'm fucking bored

but imo the whiplash change in the recent patch where they added the countdown timer to like

6 sec it remove 1 charge if you're not attacking

that change sucked coz in a way it gimped your burst damage with shroud if used correctly

lets say you find your target ( be4 change )
you make sure your whiplash charge is at 2 or 3
you shroud in ( as close on him as you can )
you throw out the autoattack>whiplash charge is now at 1 or 2
you puppetshow
you voodoo puppet
you attack them both with whiplash

sure you can still do this but it requiers you to be near something you can attack be4 you go in

so what i'm getting at be4 the change you could still take advantage of the 125 bonus damage from shroud

i've had this double whiplash happen before, never get shroud on puppet.
i for one this shroud is just pure garbage, idk.

why?

with whiplash it is amazing

not to mention it adds an escape mechanism to a hero without one

yeah shroud is always good on puppet/gladi even if it sucks as an escape / positioning mechanism. the burst you get from shroud whiplashing some guy you ult'id next to puppet is just ridiculous.

well you get shroud so you can land your ultimate

aka

shroud in>stand as near em as you can>puppet show>ultimate>now the ultimate will spawn right next to him so when you attack him your whiplash will hit both him and the puppet therefor making a insane amount of damage which makes you able to solo most heroes when you're like level 11 and got shroud + steamboots

probably because everytime i see pubs with it, they use it wrong

or you could play ballsy versus insanely feed carry in lategame who doesnt have nullstone

where you run in shrouded>stand next to him>ultimate>puppet show and let him kill himself

lol speaking of this

i had the most idiotic pub on my team, the witch slayer was facing a puppet who had like 200 hp, he stuns puppet, throws auto attacks, RUNS TOWARDS THE PUPPET, puppet ults and shows him, at this point witch slayer is standing on top of him, and puppet literally 2 shotted him.

he lived with 5 hp

i hate bad players

that ones always funny, happened to me on chronos and i had DD, good game

something kinda simular happened to me a few puppet games ago

i was playing a 200 hp puppet vs some 50% hp carry ( he chased me down and i had shroud on cd ) so all i really could do was puppet show him and hope i'll be able to kill him be4 puppetshow runs out

he had a savage mace>it procs>i die while he is under effect of puppetshow
