if you suck at it, realize that's the case and that there are many things you can always improve on

Portal Key is an item that is a MUST GET for some heros, and very strong on many.

If your team doesn't have at least one Sentry Ward (or other method of seeing an area) up for over 2 minutes your team is bad.

always get marchers early (unless you have strong early item in mind), then get ghost marchers if you are an attack damage hero, or striders if you are an int hero. Not true 100% of the time but if you don't know follow that.

If you have the opportunity to let a carry hero kill-steal from you, let them have it. Very bad if a weak late-game support hero gets lots of hero kills early on, your team will lose even though the early game felt like winning.
example: top lane both sides have a support intelligence hero and a melee agility hero. Enemy melee agil hero kills ally melee agil hero, then your int hero kill both enemy heros. This repeats five times. They are winning.

Hon its fucking hard!

Remember some simple things:

- Learn all heroes of Hon otherwise you will get raped without understanding why
- Learn all items you can build and try to understand what items is good for your hero
- Play APEM (all pick so you can try to play with some easy herolike "Moon Queen", "Swiftblade" or some other easy supports like "Demented Shaman" and easy mode mean you will get more money and tower do less damage)
- Remember to have always wards to your farm or runes

Of course EM is a shitty way to play but at least for the first 2-3 games at least play EM for try some heroes!!!
