I gave this game a try, it's not horrible but its definitely not hon or dota. There are a lot of 9 year olds that play it which make the lower bracket pretty unbearable, you basically get points for playing games, more if you win less if you lose, and you need to save the points to unlock heros. You get about100 points a game and heros cost anywhere from around 400 to 6000 points to unlock. There are a shitload of heros. So basically if you wanted to havea large selection of heros and be able to play in higher level games you basically need to play this game nonstop for a month to do that, and you'd probably get bored of it before then. If you already have hon this game probably isnt worth playing, the graphics are pretty shitty andthe difficulty of the game is very low, its insanely easy to get farmed in this game since creep kills are easy as balls to get, jungle heros hit for like 2 damage and have no health, and items are cheap. The strongest items you can buy are around 3000 gold, you could farm that very quickly. There are no rune sin river, no secret shop, and theres a sort ofkongor monster on the map that I'm yet to kill that I have no clue what he does.
Theres a tank item I've bought the past few games that gives 800ish health, an assload of regen, and when you die it ressurects you with 40% health and mana automatically and has a 5 minute cooldown. Hon needs this retarded item. it can be farmed fro auto attacking creeps in 5 minutes.
BoldedNo there isn't any item that does what you just said.
Guardian Angel gives you armor/magic resists. (68 armor 40 magic resist) It also revives you once to 50% of your health/mana. (And once again after 5 minutes)
UnderlinedGod so many false statements it was almost impossible to read.
Let's start at the beginning.
Sure when you start the game and your Elo is low, you will have a lot of younger players you play with. Once your Elo goes up (by winning) you will quickly go above their bracket, and never see them again.
The average game gives over 100 for a win, up to nearly 300 for your first win of the day.
Yes there is a large selection of heroes, and the reason you can't play any you want is so you don't get overwhelmed pick a hero, suck on it, and your team do the same. 10 heroes makes it easier to choose (10 per week) thus making you have a smaller pool to learn from.
You can unlock several champions for 450 points. And even more for 1350. They are some of the easiest characters in the game to play, and they are also very good at what they do. Not bad champions by any means.
Is winning 10 games really that hard? Because 10 games = 1 1350 hero. And 5 games = 1 450 hero. Or 20 / 10 losses.
The game can seem pretty easy if you're in low Elo, you have to remember you're just starting out...is any game hard when you're just starting out? No. Once you raise you Elo up you'll find your opponents get better and better, no more of this 20+ kills a game (unless you're doing a premade, it's very easy then, your allies can help feed you).
The best items in the game cost nearly 5k gold, which is roughly 217 minion kills or 16 champion kills (with them giving max gold worth, someone with high deaths and low kills gives less gold per kill, someone with a lot of kills will give 300 +an extra amount if they're on a killing spree
upwards to +1000 extra gold. Regardless, 200+ minion kills is end game numbers. It's not easy, and you can't do it in 5 minutes.
The "kongor" monster's name is Baron, he is very hard to kill, but when you do he gives your entire team a buff that gives attack damage and ability power. (Attack damage and ability power are what increase your spell/attack damages, much like INT STR DEX do on DoTA etc)
I hope I cleared a lot of this up for you.
HoN and LoL are very good games. They're great continuations to the legacy that is known as Defense of the Ancients. I personally prefer LoL because once you know people to premade with or you participate in in-house leagues, the game is very exciting, and very competitive. Thinking of what champion to play becomes more than who you like, it becomes who would be a good addition.
I just wish for the games and mostly the players to get along. Stop judging by graphics, either play the game until you're at a decent standing (lvl 30 summoner) or don't speak. If you don't want to try the game, good for you. But don't say things about the game when you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. (And this goes for the people who play LoL and are level 15-20 and think they know what they're talking about. It's like someone with a rating of 1150 on HoN trying to tell LoL players what HoN is about.)
