Usualy I start with ghost marcher then I go for the Helm of the black legion.

Then I just go with recommended items

i would call that: 2000 gold down the drain

I just don't play engineer

sometimes i put an elder parasite on him, together with charged hammer that's quite nice

phase boots kinda sucks for engineer in my opinion, since steamboots boosts you and your turret so much more..

steamboots > 1-2x soulcream rings (early game, late early game)
thunderclaw mid game

i get power supply sometimes, depends what im playing against.. and if our team doesnt have any good initiation i get portal key after charged hammer.
