I've never been entirely sure about games, and what gods view is on them. They werent around when the bible was written, so theres no exact "this is good" - "this is bad"

Like most on this forum I came here because of d2.
My question isnt so much is mario/pong/sonic/etc sinful, as they really don't touch into religious matters..
But do games with pronounced religious content, such as diablo3, count as a sin?

Games like diablo are about defeating evil, but have pentagrams, blood, violence etc.
I understand idolizing games is wrong, but what exactly would make games like diablo sinful, if they are?

I've never really come to a conclusion about this, and could use some insight!

games are ok, as long as you realize is just games. don't ever cross the line! (the line of thinking they are anything more)

consider becoming a monk or a priest instead of playing games ?

Just because there are pentagrams in the game doesn't mean you are a demon worshiper or anything
IMO a game is just a game. You are playing it to pass time. Some may say ALL games are sinful because you are playing them instead of going out and spreading the news of God. Some may say that all movies, shows, music, even books are sinful as well. Christianity is a complex thing. Everyone interprets it their own way because it's not based on science, it's what an individual feels is right.

so monks and priests reject women. they don't even look at one. will you stop looking at women ?

will you stop looking at games ? same thing
