what are your thoughts on the theory of evolution so called biologists are teaching my children in school?
What would be your answers when children ask you what happens in the past?
Some churchmen are telling me that it happened like that but with god inventing every step in it.
I got my religion from my parents and my environment and they are telling me the earth is about 10.000 Years old and this theories are blasphemous.
But somehow it makes sense for many people :/
What's the actual advice what to believe as a Christian in the following questions?
How old is the earth
What where our ancestors and are we somehow related to animals?
Do animals have a soul?
Are prehistoric men real or fiction?
Who can survive the dead and why?
I want to be able to defend the precious religion of my culture and myself against non believing people with missionary zeal.
I asked god but I don't understand his answers or he doesn't answer me on this.

yes

and those people of the "creationism side" have and explanation for all,
an explanation for radio decay of elements used by common science to determine age of any kind of material

all "intelligent design" by "god"

so any discussion on this will lead to mindfuck, because in the end they reduce all to "intelligent design"
common science has no final answer to many things, like the expanse of space, explanation : intelligent design

yes, its so easy, you only need to "believe"

Dear Drack,

well, if "biologists" think they are related with monkeys, it's their decision. But as soon as they start to explain this to innocent children, it isn't funny anymore.
Children have the right to learn the truth - about the LORD of the creation, our true and righteous GOD.
I will take some time and answer your questions:

How old is the earth

The earth is around 6.000 years old. The bible, the written word of GOD, is teaching us this fact. If you read the bible, you will find it yourself, but here a short video of a man explaining it:

Our ancestors were Adam and Eve. Some non-believers might act like monkeys, but are not related in any way with them.

Quote
Do animals have a soul?

No, animals don't have a soul and don't suffer pain. If you have some time, read this: http://www.reasonablefaith.org/animal-suffering1

Quote

they are a fiction by the media, like the "moon landing".

Quote
Who can survive the dead and why?

GOD gives us the life, and he takes the life, when he decides that it's the right time.
Sometimes it might be hard to understand for us, why some of our friends or family dies, but you can always be sure that GOD knows what he does.

If you open your heart for the love of GOD, he will answer you.

The earth is far older than 6,000 years. This is why we have words like literal and non-literal. Which need to be taken into consideration while reading the bible. Which is okay to an extent, but in a debate or an online forum, YEC's are shunned upon. (Just be careful)

Animals do suffer pain, what WLC is talking about is if the Animal is actually consciously aware of it. He is going into details in it philosophically, when that's not his real field of expertise, read that article with skepticism and caution.

I do agree with your other points though, these are just my views :)

Dear HighschoolTurd,

unfortunately I am not a native English speaker.
So I hope I don't get you wrong, but in my opinion the bible should be taken serious. So we need too take the written word of GOD literal. I am sure you know 2. Peter:20-21.
"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

Disagree a bit man, some verses are not supposed to be taken literally.

For example:

Quote
If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

This is a metaphor; you don't have to take this literal of course.
But, in the holy bible you find exact details and time data, so you can calculate it yourself!
