Firstly, please support your explanation with concrete scriptural text explaining your answer. Okay here it is, provide me with an answer of why the book of Leviticus should not be taken seriously enough to follow it's rules/guidelines? Example, clean and unclean foods. Is it morally acceptable to eat pork? To eat seafood that dwells in the depths of the ocean that collect heavy metals? According to the book of Leviticus, these types of foods would be considered unclean. Why do believers read this in scripture and eat these foods, knowing that it says it is unclean? However, I realize that in the book of Leviticus it says, along the lines of, those who commit adultery will be stoned to death. Sounds hardcore to me. Help me out here :)

No, its nothing HC for the Hebrews to have kept the Law for sanctification and to abstain from that which is unclean..
^Till Christ came to save them and the world (1 Corinthians 1:30) so that what was unclean was now CLEANED by the power of His blood (Romans 10:4)

In the book of Leviticus God says that this is to be practiced forever. he said this to the children of Israel though. Are we technically the children of Israel?

Believers of Christ are heirs to the promise of the covenant with Abraham (as he was the father of nations) - it is found in Genesis 17.

Thus yes, by faith we are children of Israel. Yet we are told that since Christ abolished the sanctification of the Law, the unclean things are now made clean.

Perhaps you got confused with the eternal covenant itself, which does not necessarily mean its practices are everlasting.
^You could also parallel this with the ending of the animal blood sacrifice & priesthood atonement of the O.T. saints, into the N.T. ofc.

Where in scripture does it say the unclean is now clean. Romans 10:4 doesn't necessarily win me over in regards to abolishing levitical law.

The precepts of leviticus are commonly called the Mosaic Law, which was a condition to the covenant in regards to the Hebrew people..

In turn, Christ abolished the Law both for righteousness and sanctification by His shedding of blood. The blood is what sanctifies or washes us away from our sins.

For actual quotations...

"And the voice spoke to him again the second time, What God has cleansed, that call not you common." Acts 10:15 << Peter was spoken to in context of the Hebrew dietary law.

"Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?" Hebrews 10:29

if u want 2 follow all the laws of moses, ur gonna need 2 stone ppl 2 death and wave and heave peace and trespass and sin offerings like all the time..

there are no shortage of abominations~

or u can listen 2 jesus:

And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

He didnt ask to follow the Mosaic Law, he was wondering how its term(s) applied to people. Think he got it figured out..
